Privacy policy
PeriodicTenancy is designed to hold as little of your information as possible. The details you enter in the agreement generator (names, addresses, rent and deposit figures) are processed in your browser only: they are used on this device to build your documents and are stored temporarily in your browser session. They are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
What we do process
- Payments are handled by Stripe, who process your payment details as an independent controller under their own privacy policy. We do not see or store your card details.
- Email: if you contact us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to collect aggregated visit statistics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose and is only loaded if you accept them; the data is not used to identify you and generator answers are never included in analytics.
Cookies
Analytics cookies are optional. Nothing is set and nothing is sent to Google unless you accept when you first arrive. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set at all. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work are always allowed, as the law permits.
Your generator answers are never placed in cookies and never sent to Google. They stay in your own browser.
You can change your mind at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection in respect of any personal data we hold. Because generator answers never reach us, in most cases we hold nothing beyond payment records (retained as required by tax law) and any emails you send. To exercise any right, contact us at the email address on this site.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
